The Regional Secretariat of Finance, through Order No. 174/2026, has appointed the senior statistics technician, Dr. Rita Brazao de Freitas, to serve, on an interim basis, as the Director of Planning, Methodology, Studies and Dissemination Services at the Regional Directorate of Statistics of Madeira (DREM).
The new director, who has a distinguished academic and professional background in the fields of demography and statistics, assumes her duties effective March 25, 2026, overseeing the coordination and management of this strategic DREM unit.
